Thomas Jefferson said “I cannot live without books.”

Books are the best friends we can make .For me this friendship started very early. It definitely helps when you have 3 generations of book lovers in the family.

I was a proud owner of set of comics and story books when was just one year old (not that I read any at that age!). Dad wanted to inculcate the habit of reading in me , so in spite of my mom’s words of caution ,against it ,he got me a big bundle of books. They still tell me that ,the minute I saw the handsome bundle I very enthusiastically took each of those books and drew colorful circles all over them and once I was satisfied with my art ,I tore them in to non symmetrical pieces and spread them all around me ,so that all could see and praise my art.. Dad has saved those pieces to remind me of my first tryst with books 🙂

I absolutely love reading. No matter what’s the theme. When my friends started reading Nancy Drew and Hardy boys, I was already on my way to the Jane Austen section. The love for books was so much that I asked for books as birthday gifts rather then anything else.

Here I would like to discuss the books that I have read over the years ,along with the ones I have picked up recently .My little cousin loves books as much as I do and it was her idea that made me start this blog. She has also asked me to put up a list of books, which I feel ,she and her friends would like to read or should read.

So dearest Anu this blog is dedicated to you sweety:)
